MOSCOW. June 26 (Interfax) - Roscosmos is ready to share its expertise with the Algerian Space Agency (ASAL), Roscosmos General Director Yury Borisov said at a meeting with ASAL head Azzedine Oussedik on Monday.
"The latest visit by the Algerian president should open a new page in our relationship. Algeria's energetic economic development is proceeding in all directions, including its space program. We will gladly share our expertise so that a growing amount of space-related services are fully on offer in your country," Borisov is quoted as saying in a statement on the Roscosmos website.
Borisov and Oussedik also agreed to maintain a dialogue in all areas of cooperation on developing space technologies, the statement said.
"Roscosmos head Yury Borisov invited his Algerian counterpart to the upcoming Russia-Africa summit due to be held in St. Petersburg on July 27-28, 2023," it said.
A day earlier, Borisov said that Roscosmos would sign a full-scale cooperation agreement with African countries at the Russia-Africa forum in July.
