MOSCOW. June 27 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin and the heads of Russia's security services discussed the work accomplished over the past few days and the tasks stemming from the developments over the weekend.
"I have gathered you here in order to thank you for the work that has been accomplished over these several days, to discuss the situation that we currently have and also to speak about the tasks facing us as a result of the analysis of the events that have taken place in the country," Putin said at the meeting with the heads of Russian security services on Monday evening.
Presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov told reporters earlier that Putin was holding a meeting with Prosecutor General Igor Krasnov, Presidential Executive Office Chief of Staff Anton Vaino, Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev, Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, Federal Security Service Director Alexander Bortnikov, chief of the Russian Guard Viktor Zolotov, head of the Federal Guard Service Dmitry Kochnev, and Investigative Committee Chairman Alexander Bastrykin.
