BRUSSELS. June 28 (Interfax) - The United States hopes that Russia will create no impediments to transport for its diplomats and cargo of the U.S. embassy in Moscow in response to the permission of a Russian special flight to repatriate Russian diplomats from the United States, spokesman for the U.S. Department of State Matthew Miller said on Tuesday.
"And in exchange for granting these courtesies, we expect Russia to maintain open transport for our diplomats and cargo to our embassy in Moscow," Western media quoted him as saying at a press briefing.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said on Tuesday that a special flight is heading to the United States from Russia to take out Russian diplomats ordered by the American side to leave the U.S. at the end of their three-year stay in the country.
"This is not an expulsion, but instead [due to] work restrictions imposed by Washington on Russian foreign diplomatic missions," Zakharova said.
