MOSCOW. June 30 (Interfax) - Russian combat helicopters delivered strikes on troops and military hardware of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Kupyansk sector, the Russian western group of forces said.
"During hostilities in the Kupyansk sector, Kamov Ka-52 and Mil Mi-28 attack helicopters from the air force of the western group of forces delivered eight strikes on concentrations of troops, weapons, military and special hardware of the 14th Separate Mechanized Brigade and territorial defense units," spokesman for the western group of forces Sergei Zybinsky said on Friday.
Artillery strikes by this group of forces thwarted four attempts to rotate Ukrainian army units on frontline positions near the communities of Timkovka, Sinkovka, Kislovka and Stelmakhovka, Zybinsky said.
"The enemy has lost up to one platoon of troops," he said.
In addition, a Russian Akatsiya self-propelled artillery system destroyed a Ukrainian mortar squad near Novosyolovskoye, Zybinsky said.
