Village in Kursk region without power after Ukrainian attack - governor

KURSK. July 5 (Interfax) - An area of the Kursk region close to the border has been damaged in a Ukrainian attack, the Kursk region's governor, Roman Starovoit, said.

"An apartment building caught fire in the village of Krasnooktyabrsky, Glushkovsky district, as a result of a Ukrainian attack. No one was hurt. Firefighters put out the flames. The settlement is without power as a result of damage to the electrical substation. In addition, a gas pipe, outbuildings, and a garage were damaged," Starovoit said on his Telegram channel on Wednesday.

Repair teams have already begun repair work, he said.

"The Pobeda livestock facility in Yelizavetovka also came under fire. The roof and the building's exterior were damaged. No one was hurt," Starovoit said.

He earlier reported an attack on the settlement of Tyotkino. There were no casualties. Severe damage was done to a school, and one building was also damaged.

A "yellow" (high) level of terrorist threat is in place in the Kursk region, which borders Ukraine. The areas of the region located close to the border have been repeatedly attacked by Ukrainian troops.
