MOSCOW. July 6 (Interfax) - A decision on the possibility that the Taliban movement (designated as a terrorist organization and banned in Russia) could take part in the next Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit must be based on a consensus, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said.
"A decision here is made through a consensus. Therefore, this is a subject that should be addressed during the preparations for the next summit," Peskov told journalists on Thursday.
The Afghan Foreign Ministry said earlier that it expected to be provided with an opportunity to take part in the next SCO summit in Kazakhstan.
