Kremlin has neither ability nor desire to track Prigozhin's movements - Peskov

MOSCOW. July 6 (Interfax) - The Kremlin is not following Wagner Group chief Yevgeny Prigozhin's movements, as it has neither the ability nor desire to do so, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said.

"No, we're not following his movements. We have neither the ability nor desire to do that," Peskov told journalists, when asked whether the Kremlin is following Prigozhin's movements, taking into account recent reports that he is currently in Russia.

Earlier on Thursday, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said that Wagner Group head Yevgeny Prigozhin is not in Belarus.

"As for Yevgeny Prigozhin, he is in St. Petersburg now. Where was he this morning? He might have gone to Moscow in the morning," the Belarusian state-run news agency BelTA quoted Lukashenko as telling Belarusian and foreign journalists at the Palace of Independence in Minsk on Thursday.

"He is not in Belarus," Lukashenko said.
