Finland to send to Ukraine air defense weapons, munitions under 17th military assistance package

HELSINKI. July 6 (Interfax) - Finland will provide Ukraine with a new, 17th package of military assistance, which in particular will include air defense weapons and munitions, the Finnish government said in a press release on Thursday.

According to the statement, Finnish President Sauli Niinisto made the corresponding decision based on a government proposal.

This package of assistance will cost Finland 105 million euros.

More details on the content of the assistance package, its timeframe and the methods of its transportation are not being reported to ensure the safe delivery of military cargo to its destination.

Finland has provided Ukraine with military assistance worth a total of 1.2 billion euros.
