Moscow justice of peace fines Twitch another 3 mln rubles for not removing information

MOSCOW. July 11 (Interfax) - A Moscow justice of the peace has imposed a three-million-ruble administrative fine on the Twitch video service, a subsidiary of Amazon, for not removing prohibited information.

"To penalize Twitch Interactive Inc. with a 3-million-ruble administrative fine," Justice of the Peace Timur Vakhrameyev from Judicial District No. 422 in the Moscow Tagansky District said in his ruling.

Twitch was found guilty of not removing prohibited content.

According to materials in the administrative proceeding, Twitch was found guilty of not removing a number of videos and texts about gambling and online casinos and fake information about the Russian special military operation in Ukraine reported by the Federal Service for Supervision of Communications, Information Technology and Mass Media (Roskomnadzor).

Earlier on Tuesday, Twitch was fined 4 million rubles for a similar offense.
