Two command posts of Ukrainian brigades, ammo depot hit in past 24 hours - Russian Defense Ministry

MOSCOW. July 11 (Interfax) - Russian forces have hit two command posts of Ukrainian brigades in the Zaporozhye region and in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) as well as an ammo depot in the Kherson region over the past 24 hours, Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said.

"Tactical aircraft, army aviation, missile forces and artillery of the Russian Armed Forces' contingent hit two command posts of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' 24th and 65th Mechanized Brigades near Toretsk in the DPR and Orekhov in the Zaporozhye region, as well as 75 artillery units at their firing positions and troops and military hardware in 94 areas," Konashenkov said at a press briefing on Tuesday.

An ammo depot of the 124th Territorial Defense Brigade was hit near Antonovka in the Kherson region, he said.

Also in the Kherson region, more than 50 Ukrainian troops were killed and six trucks and a U.S.-made M777 artillery system were destroyed over the past day, Konashenkov said.

In the Kupyansk sector, Russian forces struck troops and hardware of the Ukrainian Armed Forces near Sinkovka, Timkovka, Novomlynsk, Kislovka, Olshana, Kotlyarovka and Krasnoye Pervoye in the Kharkov region and Stelmakhovka in the Lugansk People's Republic, he said.

"The enemy lost up to 20 troops, two armored combat vehicles, four trucks, Msta-B and D-20 howitzers, and a U.S.-made AN/TPQ-50 counter-mortar radar," Konashenkov said.
