MOSCOW. July 11 (Interfax) - Russian forces have repelled nine attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Donetsk sector, including in the vicinity of Kleshcheyevka near Artyomovsk (Bakhmut), Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said.
"In the Donetsk sector, tactical aircraft, army aviation, artillery and the skilful actions of units of the southern group of forces repelled nine enemy attacks near Nevelskoye, Pervomaiskoye, Severnoye and Spornoye, as well as northwest of Kleshcheyevka in the Donetsk People's Republic [DPR]," Konashenkov said at a press briefing on Tuesday.
Ukrainian troops and hardware were hit in the vicinity of Spornoye, Avdeyevka, Mayorskoye, Vesyoloye, Kurdyumovka and Krasnogorovka in the DPR, he said.
In that sector, the Ukrainian Armed Forces lost up to 250 troops, one tank, three armored combat vehicles, four trucks, two pickup trucks, a Krab self-propelled artillery system, a D-20 howitzer, and a U.S.-made AN/TPQ-50 counter-mortar radar, Konashenkov said.
Ukrainian forces have continued their unsuccessful offensive in the Krasny Liman and southern Donetsk sector over the past 24 hours, he said.
"In the southern Donetsk sector, the combined efforts of units from the eastern group of forces and artillery fire repelled a Ukrainian attack near Rovnopol in the DPR. The enemy was dispersed and pushed back to its initial positions," Konashenkov said.
"In the Zaporozhye sector, aircraft, artillery and heavy flamethrowers hit the enemy near Rabotino in the Zaporozhye region," he said.
In those areas, the Ukrainian army lost up to 90 troops, four tanks, 15 armored combat vehicles, five pickup trucks, a British-made FH-70 system, two D-20 howitzers, and two Msta-B howitzers.
"In the Krasny Liman sector, units from the central group of forces, supported by aircraft and artillery, repelled three enemy attacks near Chervonaya Dibrova and Karmazinovka in the Lugansk People's Republic [LPR]," Konashenkov said.
Ukrainian troops were hit near Nevskoye and Chervonaya Dibrova in the LPR and Serebryanka and Terny in the DPR, he said.
"A Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance group was neutralized near Terny," Konashenkov said.
In that area, the Ukrainian Armed Forces lost up to 105 troops, two tanks, five armored combat vehicles, three pickup trucks, Akatsiya and Gvozdika self-propelled artillery systems and D-20 and D-30 howitzers, he said.
