MOSCOW, July 11 (Interfax) - The delivery of cluster munitions to Kiev will eventually result in the conflict being protracted, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said.
"The world has seen now that they have confirmed the delivery of cluster ammunition. They are justifying that in one way or another. They say, due to the fact that they have actually run out of regular munitions of the 155mm caliber, they have decided to bridge [the gap] using cluster munitions now and until a moment in the future when their production [of regular shells] is up and running," Shoigu told reporters on Tuesday.
"This will naturally contribute to the conflict's protraction," he said.
