Zaporozhye region's Tokmak town comes under Ukrainian fire - emergency services

ROSTOV-ON-DON. July 11 (Interfax) - The town of Tokmak in northern Zaporozhye region was shelled by Ukraine's armed forces on Tuesday, a spokesman for the regional emergency services told journalists.

"Early reports suggest that the enemy used cluster munitions. There hits in a poultry farm area and on the exit out of town in the direction of Vasilyevka," he said.

Information on damage and casualties is being clarified.

Tokmak is one of the frontline towns in the Zaporozhye region, which are targeted by Ukraine's military most often. It is among the towns where authorities offered voluntary evacuation for safety reasons.
