YEREVAN. July 14 (Interfax) - French Senate president Gerard Larcher has said the process of supplying Armenia with defense weapons must be sped up.
"I demand an immediate opening of Lachin corridor, which connects Armenia with Nagorno-Karabakh, and that France speed up its shipments of defense weapons for Armenia to ensure security," Larcher wrote on his Twitter microblog after meeting Armenian parliamentary speaker Alen Simonyan in Paris on Friday.
Simonyan was in France on a working visit.
Armenian Defense Minister Suren Papikyan visited France in mid-June.
