Girl injured in Crimean Bridge incident taken to intensive care unit at Temryuk hospital

KRASNODAR. July 17 (Interfax) - The girl who was injured in Monday's attack on the Crimean Bridge has been taken to the central district hospital in Temryuk in Krasnodar Territory, the hospital told Interfax on Monday.

"She is in intensive care now. We're waiting for an air ambulance," a hospital spokesperson said.

It was reported earlier that two people were killed and a girl was injured in an incident on the Crimean Bridge, which the Russian Antiterrorism Committee (NAC) later qualified as a terrorist attack. The girl is due to be airlifted to Krasnodar via air ambulance.

Head of Crimea Sergei Aksyonov reported "an emergency" near pillar No. 145 of the Crimean Bridge on the side of Krasnodar Territory at 4:20 a.m. Moscow time. Road and rail traffic across the bridge was suspended. Rail traffic has now resumed. The authorities have called on people to use an alternative land route via the new regions for the time being.
