Crimean Bridge attack carried out by Ukrainian security services - Russian Investigative Committee (Part 2)

MOSCOW. July 17 (Interfax) - The terrorist attack on the Crimean Bridge was carried out with the involvement of Ukrainian security services, the Russian Investigative Committee said.

"According to the investigation's findings, one of the Crimean Bridge's sections was damaged as a result of an act of terrorism committed by Ukrainian security services in the early hours of July 16," it said.

"The required expert examinations have been ordered as part of the criminal inquiry. Investigators are working to identify the individuals from the Ukrainian security services and armed units which played a role in organizing and carrying out this crime," it said.

The Investigative Committee's main investigative department is conducting the criminal case opened into the attack, it said.

The Russian National Antiterrorism Committee said earlier that the Crimean Bridge was attacked by two Ukrainian surface drones.

The attack killed two adults and injured a child.
