MOSCOW. July 17 (Interfax) - Two F-16 fighter jets and an MC-12V reconnaissance aircraft from the U.S.-led international coalition have violated Syria's airspace three times, the deputy head of the Russian Center for Reconciliation of Opposing Sides in Syria, Rear Adm. Oleg Gurinov, said on Sunday.
"Three violations of Syria's airspace by a pair of F-16 fighter jets and one MC-12V reconnaissance plane from the coalition were once again recorded in the Al-Tanf area, which international air routes pass through," Gurinov said.
In addition, there were "12 breaches of the December 9, 2019 de-confliction protocols related to flights by unmanned aerial vehicles that were not coordinated with the Russian side," he said.
"Such actions create dangerous preconditions for air incidents and incidents involving civilian aircraft," Gurinov said.
One Syrian soldier was also injured in a strike delivered on Syrian government forces' positions near Mellanja in Idlib province, the Center said.
