MOSCOW. July 17 (Interfax) - The Crimean authorities are not expecting any disruptions to supplies for Crimea in the wake of the terrorist attack on the bridge linking the peninsula with Krasnodar Territory, advisor to the head of Crimea Oleg Kryuchkov said.
"The delivery of supplies to Crimea is under control. [...] This is not the first time we've encountered certain situations [like this]. There was a terrorist attack on the Crimean Bridge before, and we have gotten through all kinds of Ukrainian blockades over those years," Kryuchkov told the Rossiya 24 (VGTRK) television channel.
"We have already fine-tuned all options with regard to food supplies, with regard to the stockpiles that are at logistic centers and with regard to fuel. There will be no problems with that," Kryuchkov said.
At 4:20 a.m. Moscow time on Monday, head of Crimea Sergei Aksyonov reported an "emergency" on the 145th pillar of the Crimean Bridge from the side of Krasnodar Territory. Road and rail traffic across the bridge was suspended.
Two residents of Russia's Belgorod region died in the incident, and a child was injured.
The Russian National Antiterrorism Committee in turn said that the incident was a terrorist attack carried out by Ukrainian surface drones. The Russian Investigative Committee has opened a criminal case into the incident.
