MOSCOW. July 17 (Interfax) - Additional security measures are not under consideration following the terrorist attack on the Crimean Bridge, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said.
Peskov was asked by reporters on Monday whether such measures would be taken in the wake of the terrorist attack.
"We know the reason, and we know those who are behind this terrorist attack," Peskov said. The incident would require everyone providing security to pull together and continue working, he said.
"No other measures have been discussed at this point," Peskov said.
At the same time, he emphasized that security measures are constantly being improved.
"At the same time, you know that there is a load [on the bridge] from tourist traffic and there are queues there. This was discussed many times at the meetings with the president and it was said that the main objective is to ensure security," Peskov said.
Peskov did not answer a question regarding what Moscow's response to the Crimean Bridge blast would be. "Right now, no, I cannot say. From the ultimate perspective, the response will be to achieve all the objectives of the special military operation, which will continue," he said.
