Crimean authorities prepare over 30 temporary accommodation centers for tourists due to bridge incident

ROSTOV-ON-DON. July 17 (Interfax) - More than 30 temporary accommodation centers for tourists have opened in two cities in eastern Crimea following the attack on the Crimean Bridge, advisor to the head of Crimea Oleg Kryuchkov said.

"Thirty-four temporary accommodation centers have been set up in Feodosia and Kerch," Kryuchkov said on his Telegram channel on Monday, citing information provided by the cities' authorities.

Sixteen recreation centers, hotels and tourist camps in the Feodosia district are ready to take in up to 600 people waiting for the Kerch Strait ferry service, he said. These people will be provided with accommodation and food. In addition, some recreation centers and hotels have prolonged their guests' stay, moving their departure to a later date.

Eighteen temporary accommodation points are accepting tourists in Kerch. They have also been opened at local hotels and recreation camps.

There are no major queues at the three checkpoints on Crimea's administrative border with the Kherson region, along the land route via the new regions, Kryuchkov said.

"There are no queues at the checkpoints. Use the alternative route," Kryuchkov said on his Telegram channel on Monday.
