Crimean Bridge to reopen gradually to car traffic tonight - Russian deputy PM

MOSCOW. July 17 (Interfax) - Cars will be allowed onto the Crimean Bridge in stages on Monday night, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin said at a meeting held by President Vladimir Putin, which was aired by the Rossiya-24 television channel.

"Our plan is to finish, before midnight, reinforcing the entire damaged pillar, to put up barriers, we will partially organize bridge lighting: we plan to restore the lighting fully over the next 24 hours. By 12 o'clock, having finished all this work, Vladimir Vladimirovich, if everything goes normally, we will send light cars, first three tonnes [by way of] testing, then five tonnes. If nothing unforeseen happens, we will begin to let in light cars in reverse mode on one lane," Khusnullin said.
