MOSCOW. July 18 (Interfax) - Russian forces last night struck sites in the Odessa area where sea drones were manufactured and terrorist attacks using them were prepared against Russia, Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said.
"The Russian Armed Forces delivered a group retaliatory strike using sea-launched precision-guided weapons on sites where terrorist attacks against the Russian Federation were prepared using unmanned boats, as well as the facility where they were manufactured at a ship repair plant in the vicinity of Odessa," Konashenkov said at a press briefing on Tuesday.
"In addition, storage facilities containing about 70,000 tonnes of fuel were destroyed in the near Nikolayev and Odessa, where Ukrainian military hardware was supplied with fuel from," he said.
All the designated targets were destroyed, he said.
"We observed fires and an explosion at the destroyed sites," Konashenkov said.
