MOSCOW. July 18 (Interfax) - Russian forces have intercepted three HIMARS rockets over the past 24 hours, Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said.
"Air defense systems have intercepted three rockets [fired by] HIMARS multiple rocket launchers over the past 24 hours," Konashenkov said at a press briefing on Tuesday.
"Tactical and army aircraft, missile forces and artillery of the Russian Armed Forces have struck 89 Ukrainian artillery crews at their firing positions, as well as personnel and military hardware in 98 areas, over the past 24 hours," he said.
Russian forces also destroyed 43 drones in the Kharkov, Zaporozhye, and Kherson regions and in the Lugansk and Donetsk People's Republics, he said.
