MOSCOW. July 18 (Interfax) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan have spoken by phone to discuss the outcomes of Moscow's and Ankara's joint work on the Black Sea grain deal, the Russian Foreign Ministry said on Tuesday.
"As an alternative to the Black Sea initiative, the ministers considered other options for grain supply to the most needy countries that do not depend on disruptive actions by Kiev and its Western patrons," the ministry said in a statement on its website.
Lavrov and Fidan "exchanged opinions on the regional agenda, with an emphasis on the latest events surrounding Ukraine," as well as a number of other aspects of bilateral relations, it said.
