Russian special military operation fully funded despite sanctions pressure - PM Mishustin

MOSCOW. July 18 (Interfax) - The Russian special military operation is being fully financed, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said.

"Despite the sanctions pressure on our economy, the needs of the special military operation have been fully funded. This applies both to supporting production, and to providing for the activities of the Armed Forces, troops and military formations," Mishustin said at a meeting of the Coordination Council on ensuring the needs of the Armed Forces.

He also emphasized that social payments to participants in the military operation and members of their families set by the president should be allocated in a timely manner.

"I emphasize for all those present: it's important that every planned ruble reaches our defenders," Mishustin said.

As for production, it is essential to make sure that funds are spent as efficiently as possible, he added.

"The Federal Treasury has organized inspections on the use of budgetary resources for measures carried out for the special military operation," Mishustin said.

Based on the results of the inspections, the total amount of reductions in contract prices exceeded 10 billion rubles, the prime minister said.
