Russian PM stresses need to increase defense industry capacity, redistribute workload, more defense specialists

MOSCOW. July 18 (Interfax) - The redistribution of workload among defense industry enterprises should be completed and their capacity expanded in the near future, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said.

"The adjustment of technological chains to increase the guarantee of continuity in certain parts supplies is nearing completion, measures are in place to reduce the enterprises' debts to help them get more actively involved with operations, accordingly," Mishustin told his government's coordinating council tasked with providing for the needs of the Armed Forces, other troops and military formations.

"In the very near future, the redistribution of the workload among organizations of our defense-industrial complex should be completed, their production capacity expanded, and also [it is necessary] to help additionally with cadres, both with technical personnel and specialists in the field," Mishustin said.
