Preliminary cost of repairing Crimean Bridge put at 1-1.3 bln rubles - Russian deputy PM

MOSCOW. July 18 (Interfax) - Repairing the Crimean Bridge after the Ukrainian drone attack may cost over one billion rubles, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin said on Tuesday.

"In terms of additional volumes, how much this will cost. For now we are seeing at the level of 1-1.3 billion [rubles]," Khusnullin said, when asked by reporters about the cost of repairing the bridge.

The bridge was attacked by two Ukrainian surface drones in the early hours of July 17. Its roadway was damaged. Two residents of the Belgorod region were killed and a child was injured. A criminal case over a terrorist attack has been opened.

An inspection found no damage to the bridge's pillars. Rail services resumed on Monday morning. Car traffic was restored on one lane in reverse mode on Tuesday.

Khusnullin said that two-way traffic was expected to resume on one side by September 15 and on the other by November 1.
