ROSTOV-ON-DON. July 19 (Interfax) - People being evacuated from communities near a burning military training ground in the east of Crimea will be staying at temporary accommodation centers for about 24 hours, an advisor to the head of Crimea, Oleg Kryuchkov, said.
"Residents are being relocated from four villages, approximately for 24 hours," Kryuchkov said on his Telegram channel on Wednesday.
An operational headquarters has already been set up, he said. Traffic is being rerouted to roads bypassing the temporarily closed section of the Tavrida federal motorway.
"The bypass roads are good. The distances are minimal," Kryuchkov said.
Train services in Crimea are functioning as usual, he said. A reversible traffic lane is functioning on the Crimean Bridge.
As reported, a fire is raging at a military training ground in the Kirovskoye district in the east of Crimea. Over 2,000 people are expected to be evacuated from four nearby communities. The Tavrida motorway connecting the Crimean Bridge with Sevastopol has been temporarily closed, with traffic diverted to an alternative road.
