BAKU. July 19 (Interfax) - Azerbaijani presidential aide and foreign policy advisor Hikmet Hajiyev has met with ambassadors of European Union and some other countries to inform them of peace negotiations between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
"Thank you, Hikmet Hajiyev, for valuable discussion with EU and partners on the way forward to a just and lasting peace [in the South Caucasus]. Germany remains committed to support both conflict parties in getting there as soon as possible" German Ambassador to Azerbaijan Ralf Horlemann, who took part in the meeting, wrote on Twitter.
Apart from the EU ambassadors, also taking part in the meeting were United States Charge d'Affaires a.i. to Azerbaijan Hugo Guevara and Turkish Ambassador Cahit Bagci.
