MOSCOW. July 19 (Interfax) - The causes of a fire that broke out at a military training ground in the Kirovskoye district of Crimea have yet to be addressed, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.
"The causes behind the fire will still have to be looked into. As for helping people, and ensuring their security, of course, everything will have to be done as much as possible to solve these problems. I think it will take a little time there, everything will burn out and be over, but we need to be very careful now," Putin said at a meeting with government members on Wednesday.
As reported, a military training ground caught fire in the Kirovskoye district in eastern Crimea. About 2,200 residents of four villages within a range of five kilometers (Krinichki, Aivazovskoye, Abrikosovka and Privetnoye) were evacuated over the past 24 hours. The Tavrida highway, which links the Crimean Bridge with Sevastopol, is blocked. Vehicles are being diverted along the old road.
Crimea head Sergei Aksyonov said that the situation caused by the fire at the military training ground will be normalized within the next 24 hours.
