UK sanctions 13 individuals and entities for links to Wagner Group

LONDON. July 20 (Interfax) - The UK Treasury on Thursday added eight individuals and five organizations the UK believes have connections with the Wagner Group to its sanctions lists on Mali, the Central African Republic and Sudan.

According to the Treasury's document, one of the sanctioned individuals is Ivan Maslov, who is identified by the UK sanctions lists on Mali as one of the heads of the Wagner Group in this country.

Sanctions have also been imposed on the Central African Republic president's advisor Vitaly Perfilyev, who London believes plays a role in coordinating the Wagner Group's operations in the Central African Republic.

Other designated individuals include Konstantin Pikalov, Andrei Mandelya, Mikhail Potepkin, Alexander Maloletko, Alexander Ivanov, and Belarusian citizen Dmitry Syty.

The entities targeted by the sanctions are M-Invest, Lobaye Invest SARLU, Meroe Gold, Sewa Security Services, and Alsolag Mining Co Ltd.
