Ukrainian mechanized brigades' signal station, command post struck in DPR - Russian Defense Ministry

MOSCOW. July 20 (Interfax) - The Russian Armed Forces have struck a signal station and a command post of the Ukrainian army's mechanized brigades in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said at a press briefing on Thursday.

"A signal station of the 110th Mechanized Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and a command post of the 63rd Mechanized Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces were struck near the populated localities of Avdeyevka and Torskoye in the Donetsk People's Republic," Konashenkov said.

Russian air defenses intercepted seven HIMARS missiles in the past day, he said.

"Tactical and army aircraft, missile units and artillery of the group of forces of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation hit 94 artillery units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on their firing positions and enemy troops and military hardware in 103 areas over the past day," Konashenkov said.

Thirty-two Ukrainian drones were also shot down in the Kharkov, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions, the Lugansk People's Republic and the DPR, he said.

"A total of 456 Ukrainian planes, 243 helicopters, 5,140 unmanned aerial vehicles, 426 air defense missile systems, 10,776 tanks and other armored fighting vehicles, 1,139 multiple rocket launcher vehicles, 5,537 field artillery systems and mortars, and 11,767 special military vehicles have been destroyed since the start of the special military operation," Konashenkov said.
