EU adds head of Russian Interior Ministry's Main Directorate for Moscow, Moscow govt representatives to sanctions list

BRUSSELS. July 20 (Interfax) - The European Union has imposed sanctions on 12 Russian citizens, including Oleg Baranov, the head of the Russian Interior Ministry's Main Directorate for Moscow, according to a document published in the Official Journal of the European Union on Thursday.

Sanctions have also been imposed on Moscow government representatives Eduard Lysenko, the head of the Moscow Information Technologies Department, and Natalya Sergunina, the deputy mayor of Moscow.

The sanctions list also includes representatives of the penitentiaries administration and Federal Penitentiary Service Director Arkady Gostev.

According to the document, sanctions have been imposed on some Russian agencies, including the Russian Interior Ministry's Main Directorate for Moscow and the Moscow Information Technologies Department.
