Poland plans to station troops in western part of Ukraine - Russian foreign intelligence chief Naryshkin

MOSCOW. July 21 (Interfax) - In view of the situation in Ukraine, Poland is planning to station its troops in its western territories, Russian Foreign Intelligence Service chief Sergei Naryshkin said.

"As seen from information the service is receiving, Warsaw is gradually coming to understand that no Western aid to Kiev can support Ukraine in attaining the goals that have been set. Moreover, they're coming to understand that Ukraine's defeat is only a matter of time. And in this connection, the Polish leadership is becoming increasingly more determined to take control of Ukraine's western territories, western regions, through stationing its troops there," Naryshkin said at a meeting of the Russian Security Council permanent members hosted by President Vladimir Putin on Friday.
