Ukrainian army tries to land in Antonovka bridge area fail - Russian military

MOSCOW. July 24 (Interfax) - Units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Kherson sector have been trying without success to carry out a landing operation in the Antonovka bridge area, spokesman for Russia's Dnieper group of forces Roman Kodyan said.

"In the Kherson sector, the enemy continues its unsuccessful attempts to land on islands off the left bank near the Antonovka bridge," Kodyan said.

During an attack, units of the Dnieper group of forces neutralized a sabotage and reconnaissance group of the Ukrainian army moving in two high-speed boats, he said.

Artillery strikes were delivered against Ukrainian positions in Kherson and near Kizomys, and "a mortar squad, a D-30 howitzer and troops were also eliminated," he said.

On July 12, the Russian Defense Ministry said that Russian assault groups were conducting search and reconnaissance operations on islands near the Antonovka bridge in the Kherson sector.

On July 5, the Russian Defense Ministry said that Russian drones killed a group of Ukrainian servicemen and destroyed a high-speed boat transporting saboteurs in the Antonovka bridge area.

On July 2, the Russian Defense Ministry reported concluding an operation to neutralize Ukrainian units that had landed on Antonovsky Island near the bridge.
