Chinese Navy ships call at Vladivostok port - Russian Pacific Fleet

MOSCOW. July 24 (Interfax) - A group of Chinese naval ships has arrived in Vladivostok, the Russian Pacific Fleet said on Monday.

"Pacific Fleet Commander Adm. Viktor Liina will receive the Chinese sailors during the port call, which will continue until July 27," the fleet said in a statement.

Pacific Fleet Deputy Commander Vice Adm. Denis Berezovsky greeted the Chinese naval ships upon their arrival in Vladivostok. The Chinese ships calling at the Vladivostok port are the Qiqihar and Guiyang guided-missile destroyers, the frigates Zaozhuang and Rizhao, and the supply ship Taihu. The group's commander is China's North Sea Fleet Deputy Commander Rear Adm. Qiu Wensheng.

The ships took part in the North/Interaction 2023 Russian-Chinese naval maneuvers, which were conducted in the Sea of Japan on July 20-23.

Russian Navy ships that participated in the exercise included the Admiral Tributs and Admiral Panteleyev large anti-submarine ships, the Aldar Tsydenzhapov and Gremyashchy corvettes, and supply vessels, the Pacific Fleet said.
