MOSCOW. July 24 (Interfax) - The Russian Defense Ministry has reported repelling six Ukrainian attacks in the Donetsk sector and five more in the Krasny Liman sector over the past 24 hours.
"Over the past 24 hours, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have been making attempts to advance in the Donetsk and Krasny Liman sectors. In the Donetsk sector, coordinated actions by the southern group of forces and strikes using aviation and artillery successfully repelled six enemy attacks near Belogorovka in the Lugansk People's Republic [LPR] and Kleshcheyevka in the Donetsk People's Republic [DPR]," Konashenkov said at a press briefing on Monday.
Russian forces also repelled five attacks in the Krasny Liman sector, he said.
"Enemy units were struck near Vesyoloye, Bogdanovka, Predtechino, Belaya Gora, and Dyleyevka in the DPR," Konashenkov said.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces' losses in the Donetsk sector "amounted to over 160 troops, one tank, two automobiles, a Polish-made Krab self-propelled artillery system, a UK-made FH-17 howitzer, and a Gvozdika self-propelled howitzer," he said.
"In the Krasny Liman sector, intensive actions by units of the central group of forces and strikes using aircraft, artillery, and heavy flamethrower systems [thermobaric rocket launchers] repelled five enemy attacks near Nevskoye in the LPR, as well as near the Serebryanka forest area," he said.
"In addition, Ukrainian personnel and hardware were struck near Karmazinovka in the LPR and near Yampolovka, Torskoye, and Serebryanka in the DPR. The actions of a Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance group were neutralized near Novolyubovka in the LPR," he said.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces' losses in this area "amounted to up to 195 troops, four infantry fighting vehicles, four armored fighting vehicles, three pickup trucks, two Gvozdika self-propelled artillery systems, and D-20 and D-30 howitzers," Konashenkov said.
