Monthly ammo supplies in Russia now exceed last year's entire volume - Manturov

NIZHNY NOVGOROD. July 24 (Interfax) - Supplies of ammunition for the Russian army have increased considerably, Russia's Deputy Prime Minister and Industry and Trade Minister Denis Manturov said.

"Speaking of ordnance, we are now entering a level where the supplies per month alone exceed the total order for last year," Manturov told a council on the defense industry in the Volga federal district on Monday.

Since the start of 2023, a lot more weapons, military and special hardware have been produced than in the whole of last year, he said.

"Almost all enterprises, with few exceptions, have been bearing plan-schedules unprecedented in terms of deadlines and volumes. Occasional disruptions are caught up fairly quickly or compensated by similar products," Manturov said.
