Debris of downed Ukrainian missile falls in Taganrog - Russian Defense Ministry

MOSCOW. July 28 (Interfax) - Ukraine has attacked housing infrastructure in Taganrog with an S-200 surface-to-air missile converted into an attack variant, the debris of the missile intercepted by a Russian air defense system fell onto the city, the Russian Defense Ministry said.

"On July 28, the Kiev regime carried out a terrorist attack with a reequipped attack variant of the surface-to-air missile of the S-200 air defense system against the housing infrastructure of the city of Taganrog in the Rostov region," the ministry said.

"Russian air defense systems detected and intercepted the Ukrainian missile in the air. Debris of the downed Ukrainian missile fell onto the grounds of Taganrog," it said.

As a result, several buildings were damaged, there are injured among civilians, the ministry said.
