MOSCOW. July 31 (Interfax) - Russian forces have taken control of the villages of Kovalevka and Sergeyevka in the Krasny Liman sector and the Molchanovka railway station in the Kupyansk sector "using maneuvers, counterattacks and counterstrikes," Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said.
"The 15th Motorized Infantry Brigade and the 234th Air Assault Regiment have particularly distinguished themselves. They also acted vigorously and used maneuvers, and ultimately achieved success. The 238th Artillery Brigade, the 31st Engineering Regiment, and the 23rd Fighter Aviation Regiment also acted courageously," Shoigu said at a teleconference with the Russian Armed Forces command on Monday.
He thanked all Armed Forces personnel involved in the military operation in Ukraine for their service, courage, and heroism.
"While we previously spoke of individual feats, we now have tens and hundreds of worthy service members, soldiers, officers, and sergeants, who not only perform their duties honorably, but also do so in a highly professional manner. The guys truly display the greatest examples of courage, heroism, and, I will say again, professionalism," Shoigu said.
