MOSCOW. Aug 2 (Interfax) - The Russian Armed Forces have gained better tactical positions over the past 24 hours as they continue offensive operations near Novosyolovskoye in the Lugansk People's Republic (LPR) and Timkovka in the Kharkov region, Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said.
"Assault units of the western group of forces have improved their tactical positions in the Kupyansk sector, mounting an offensive in the vicinity of Novosyolovskoye in the LPR and Timkovka in the Kharkov region," Konashenkov said at a press briefing on Wednesday.
