NEW YORK. Aug 2 (Interfax) - Returning to the Black Sea grain initiative would be the best option to get Russian and Ukrainian agricultural products abroad, the UN secretary-general's spokesperson Farhan Haq said.
"We are exploring all possible options to see what can be done to make sure that Ukrainian grain, as well as Russian food and fertilizers, go to markets. We are going to continue to work on that front," Haq told a briefing.
"Obviously, it would be easier if that was accomplished within the framework of the Black Sea initiative," he said.
The UN is doing all it can to solve the problem quickly and efficiently, Haq said. The longer this process drags out, the more complicated the situation with delivering the grain to those needing it, as well as with grain prices, will be, he said.
