Aliyev, high-ranking U.S. diplomat discuss normalization of relations between Azerbaijan, Armenia

BAKU. Aug 3 (Interfax) - Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in his Thursday meeting with United States Secretary of State's Senior Advisor for Caucasus Negotiations Louis Bono confirmed Baku's resolve to continue the peace process with Armenia and hopes results will be reached in the near future.

The meeting in Baku addressed the normalization of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia and the process of negotiations on a peace treaty, the Azerbaijani president's website said.

"Aliyev reaffirmed the resolve of the Azerbaijani side to continue the peace process with Armenia and expressed hope that results will be achieved on the main tracks discussed during the talks in the near future," the document said.
