U.S.-led coalition aircraft violate Syria's airspace 25 times in past day - Russian center

HMEIMIM. Aug 4 (Interfax) - Aircraft of the so-called international antiterrorist coalition led by the United States continue to cause dangerous situations in Syria's sky, deputy head of the Russian Center for Reconciliation of Opposing Sides in Syria Rear Adm. Vadim Kulit said.

"Over the past 24 hours, there were 14 breaches of the December 9, 2019 deconfliction protocols, related to flights of unmanned aerial vehicles that were not agreed with the Russian side," Kulit said at a press briefing on Thursday.

"An increase in the number of violations of Syria's airspace has been recorded in the Al-Tanf area, which international air routes pass through. Eleven violations by three pairs of coalition F-35 fighter jets, one pair of F-16 fighter jets, two MQ-1C multipurpose unmanned aircraft, and one MC-12W reconnaissance aircraft were registered there," he said.
