KAZAN. Aug 4 (Interfax) - The security services of Russia's internal republic of Tatarstan have detained a 29-year-old resident of Kazan, a follower of nationalist ideology presumably involved in operations of a Ukrainian terrorist network, the press service of the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB)'s branch in Tatarstan said on Friday.
"On the orders from foreign curators, the detainee made technical devices for attacks on various infrastructure elements in Kazan and organized illegal actions aimed at spreading the ideas of Ukrainian nationalism," the press service said.
A criminal case was opened on counts of affiliation to a network branded as terrorist in accordance with Russian laws.
The suspect pleaded guilty.
