MOSCOW. Aug 4 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian Armed Forces lost over 43,000 troops after the start of their offensive in June and July, Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said at a press briefing on Friday.
"Since the start of what the Kiev regime calls an offensive, the Ukrainian Armed Forces lost over 43,000 troops in action in June and July," Konashenkov said.
"This figure does not include those injured and evacuated to hospitals in Ukraine and abroad, mercenaries, and troops eliminated by long-range precision strikes upon targets behind enemy lines," he said.
