IAEA reps find no mines on Zaporozhye NPP roof - Grossi

BRUSSELS. Aug 4 (Interfax) - International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) specialists have not observed any mines or explosives on the roofs of the third and fourth reactor units or in the turbine halls of the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant as they received access to those parts of the plant.

"International Atomic Energy Agency experts have observed no mines or explosives on the rooftops of Unit 3 and Unit 4 reactor buildings and the turbine halls at [the] Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant, after having been given access yesterday afternoon," IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi said in a statement.

The IAEA said it would continue to ask for authorization to inspect the roofs of another four reactor units of the Zaporozhye NPP.
