Belarusian Special Ops. Forces reinforce border with Ukraine

MINSK. Aug 7 (Interfax) - The Belarusian Special Ops. Forces have been tasked with protecting the border with Ukraine, Special Ops. Forces Deputy Commander Vadim Lukashevich said.

"We are fulfilling a number of missions together with border guards. We are stationed at various facilities and go on patrols. We are doing everything possible and even the impossible to prevent terrorist and sabotage groups from infiltrating our territory and to rule out any sorts of terror attacks on our country," Lukashevich said in an interview with the Belarusian state-run television channel STV.

He said that the training of the Belarusian Special Ops. Forces significantly changed due to Russian special military operation in Ukraine.

"We are continuing to be supplied with new hardware, weapons and gear. We are focusing on the development of unmanned aerial vehicles. Each of our units has a drone. These are new means of warfare, and we need them today," Lukashevich said.
