MOSCOW. Aug 7 (Interfax) - Fifty percent of Russians believe that Russia is a great power, the Russian Public Opinion Research Center (VCIOM) said in a statement on its website on Monday.
The share stood at 37% in 2020, the pollster said.
Twenty-eight percent believe that Russia will secure its status as a great power in the next 15-20 years, and 17% claim the opposite.
Five percent are undecided, the pollster said.
VCIOM polled 1,600 respondents aged 18 and above by phone across the country on June 27, 2023.
