YEKATERINBURG. Aug 7 (Interfax) - The Russian military has trained in eliminating mock armed groups in the mountains of Tajikistan, the Central Military District's press service said.
"While carrying out training assignments at the Lyaur highland range, troops fired the weapon systems of BTR-82A armored personnel carriers at targets simulating mock enemy armored vehicles and forces at a range of up to 1,200 meters," the press service said.
The crews trained in camouflaging firing positions and reconnoitering pop-up and moving targets, the press service said, adding that the training took place both during the day and at night.
